Lavender House offers the ultimate in laid back beach house holiday accommodation.
Lavender House is situated at 14 van der Riet street in Port Alfred, 100m from the river and 150m from restaurants, a health shop, quaint gift and décor stores, hotel and cocktail bar. All of these are within easy and safe walking distance.The house is let as a self-catering unit and sleeps 8-11 people, tastefully decorated with beautiful Tribal Textiles products from Zambia. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size and bunkbed, leading to an en suite with toilet, bath and basin. The front bedroom has 3 twin beds, 2 can be made up as a King. The 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed and en suite with basin, shower and toilet. The 4th bedroom had a queen size bed and is next to the 3rd bathroom that has a basin, shower and toilet. The open plan lounge/ dining /kitchen area opens out onto a deck and garden. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, 1 fridge, washing machine, dishwashe ,coffee machine, kettle, toaster ,iron and microwave. There are 2 lounges, one of which has TV. There is secure off street parking, a ramp for wheelchairs and prams. To the rear of the house is a fully enclosed private garden with a covered deck, and hot and cold outdoor shower. If you would like to book a cleaning service for your stay , please do so as soon as you have made your booking. A daily cleaning fee of R140 applies. We are pet friendly!

When you reach Port Alfred continue past the Caltex Garage on your left and carry on straight all the way down the hill and take the first left into Main Road. Continue straight to the second stop street at FNB and turn left into van der Riet Street. Lavender House is no. 14 van der Riet on the left hand side 300m down the road. It is a white house with lavender shutters.
From East London take the R72 (N2) West (coastal road) from East London airport. Keep on this road for the 130km to Port Alfred. When you enter town you will have the harbour on your left, continue straight over the bridge, get into the right hand lane and turn right into Causeway Road. Continue straight to a four-way stop with FNB on your left. Carry on straight over the 4-way stop and this road now becomes van der Riet. Lavender House is no.14 van der Riet, 300m down the road on the left hand side. It is a white house with lavender shutters.
From Grahamstown take the R67 Bathurst road; it is 42km to Bathurst. When you come into Bathurst turn left at the stop street still on the R67 to Port Alfred (18km). When you enter Port Alfred you will have the harbour on your left, continue straight over the bridge, get into the right hand lane and turn right into Causeway Road. Continue straight to a four-way stop with FNB on your left. Carry on straight over the 4-way stop and this road now becomes van der Riet.
